Second post entry, hopefully one of many more to come. I just read that Fiji reggae sensation KNOX has just released his new album on itunes, pretty stoked to see a Fiji artist go on itunes striaight out of the Fiji islands.Ive heard of other artists and their music on itunes but they all based abroad which i reckon gives them an advantage.
I was reading up on how i could get my music out on sites such as itunes and came accross the UPC code. It's pretty cheap for like $20 you could get a lifetime code for an album to digitally sell cause thats what itunes requires for albums. Also i need a major distributor to be able to send in music to itunes which is pretty hard to get out here unless you're signed in New Zealand.I've got a independent label "Against All Odds Records" so that means i need a distributor.Got to fork out some major capital to play in this music biz even out here in the pacific which means more overtimes at work for me and less drinking time. But its all worthit if you're determined to make it.
So with all this talk of itunes,UPC codes and distributors,I decided it was time to release an EP.I've done enough mixtapes to get my music out there and hardly any singles to really push further out there so i thought "why not make an EP" sort of like a street album. I see the Fundamentalz are working on their second EP,by the way the first EP was really good.Back to my EP plans,i just got some beats off Prezivor who i met on Reverbnation and im currently writing to them.Hopefully these become the first tracks for the EP so thank yous to Prezivor.
Stay tune for more developments on the EP and till next time,
Stay Fly..
